Father’s Day Gift Guide: Beauty Edition

Let’s face it, dads are arguably the most difficult demographic when it comes to buying gifts. Whether it be the vague responses received when asked about what they might want or the general lack of knowledge on things fathers enjoy, this can be a daunting task for any child. This year, we’ve got you covered with a list of self-care related items that can help any dad transform their daily routines, because why shouldn’t dads feel beautiful too?

Skin care and beauty products may not be the typical go-to for Father’s Day, but these products are a surefire way to make any dad feel special, while also giving them that push to start taking care of themselves. Because let’s face it, dads aren’t the first in line for a product release at Sephora.

Beard and Head

A shaving kit is a Father’s Day oldie but goodie! Nothing screams “I love you Dad” quite like an old-school wet shaving set like the one from Fehriden. The five piece set comes with a stainless steel razor, shaving cream, a stand, brush, and blade refills.

Want something with the opposite effect? As many dads face the harsh reality of a receding hairline, why not give them the gift of hair growth with Hims’ Hair Power Pack. The pack includes a consultation, shampoo, conditioner, and vitamins to strengthen hair health and promote growth.

Makeup for men

Makeup can be a scary thing for some men. While they want to feel their best just like everyone else, they’re often intimidated by the judgement from society. Luckily, many brands are creating beauty products with a more digestible aesthetic that even dads will be down for. So get your pops some foundation and let’s normalize dads who beat their face!

My dad’s favorite is Boy Brow from Glossier. It’s a great introduction to the world of beauty, and how a little grooming can go a long way. But if you’re not into brows, try something like Tom Ford’s concealer for men. The masculine packaging will help any father feel a little more comfortable wearing a bit of makeup.

Fitness and Health

Another way to give the gift of beauty is through fitness. Physical health can be extremely important in allowing someone to feel their best. There are a plethora of products or subscriptions out there that would make great gifts, but some stand outs could be a fitness tracker such as the Fitbit charge 4. This product helps track exercise and motivate users to keep on moving!

Another great gift is a Peloton subscription. No need to break the bank on a bike here, for just $12.99 Peloton offers a monthly charge for access to over ten different types of workout classes.

Elegant Scents

Another classic Father’s Day gift is a new cologne. This year, consider one of these fresh scents from designers that will make your dad feel luxurious every morning. For a clean, citrus focused scent, try Calvin Klein’s Everybody. For a woody, earthier scent, try Dior’s Sauvage Eau de Toilette.
